[Asia Pacific Channel of New Tang Dynasty, September 11, 2020] As the global epidemic has been running wild, the number of confirmed cases has already exceeded 27 million. Some experts have predicted that the epidemic will experience another wave of pandemics in the fall and winter. In light of the changes caused by the epidemic, the biomedical community has been stepping up to come up with solutions. In addition to advances in vaccines, one research team has conducted research on the unique Antrodia cinnamomea of Taiwan with some new breakthroughs. The number of confirmed cases worldwide has already exceeded 27 million, and countries around the world are actively investing in related research. In terms of vaccines, Taiwan has three vaccines that have already reached the first phase of clinical trials, including Adimmune, United, and Medigenvac. As for the DNA vaccine selected by the National Health Research Institutes, it will enter clinical trial by the end of this year at the earliest. Dr. Chen, Shui-Tein (陳水田), chairman of a biotech company indicated, "After the door of ACE2 is closed, the chance of coronavirus infection will be reduced.” Some biotech professionals have also conducted research on Antrodia cinnamomea, a fungus unique to Taiwan. Dr. Chen, Shui-Tein, chairman of a biotech company, pointed out, "It turns out that it is, indeed, accurate that the virus is inhibited when the receptor of this ACE is completely suppressed to more than one-third.” Dr. Hua, Kuo-Feng, a distinguished professor from the Department of Biotechnology and Animal Science with National Ilan University, noted, "If we can reduce the amount of virus infection, it can simultaneously increase our immunity; then our human immunity system can obtain more reaction time." As the global epidemic continues to spread, more than 900,000 deaths have occurred worldwide. Experts have said that we may experience another pandemic in the fall and winter. Due to these changes caused by the epidemic, the biomedical community has also been stepping up to discover solutions to cope with the virus.
